When you wake up, you can hear the water gently lapping against the boat. When you jump out of bed, the sun is already shining over the harbour of Spaanjerd and makes the water sparkle. On arrival you have already taken the skipper's course, so from the first day onwards you can set off on our houseboat. Owner Seppo likes to tell you something about the beautiful routes. The Maasplassen are yours. One person sits behind the steering wheel and the other takes a seat on the deck with a book in his hand, the sun burning on your skin. I can't wait to take a dip in the fresh water. Just before sunset we moor in a marina. As the sky slowly turns orange and pink, I think about how the day has flown by and can't wait to discover tomorrow's beautiful spots on our beautiful houseboat.
