About this product

In this well-known tile laying game, players build the French city of Carcassonne with all its roads, cities, monasteries and meadows. By deploying serfs, they score points for completed projects.

Each turn you put down one land tile and you may place one serf on it. Which one it is, depends on the tile. There are tiles with road sections, monasteries, city sections and/or meadow sections. In principle, no more than one serf may be placed on a project, but if two unfinished sections are built together, it may happen that more serfs are placed on them. Whoever has the most serfs on a finished project, gets immediate points for it. For each type of project there are different rules for how many points you receive. The game ends when all tiles have been placed. Whoever has the most points, wins.
